Freewriting
Lesson Planning #10
By Peter Elbow
"The consequence of writing is that you must start by writing the wrong meanings in the incorrect words, but keep writing until you get to the right meanings in the exact words. Only in the end will you know what you are saying" (Elbow).
In this case, the freewriting method helps to write and express no matter the order of the words, correct grammar, or even the punctuation; you just need to write the first thoughts that came instantly to your mind.
In my opinion, freewriting is less concerned with language and rules and more with idea development. There are various forms of freewriting exercises, but all of them include writing for a set amount of time without interruption and emphasizing the process of jumping between ideas and following thoughts. Even if they are unrelated, it's necessary to express your opinion.
